Mushrooms growing in a rabbit run

Are they a toxic spcies? If not you can leave them. If they are, you could seek an eco-friendly herbicide. But blocking is better either way.

    Safe Paint

There are various makers - an example: http://www.ecosafetyproducts.com/Non-Toxic-Paint-s/1.htm Look for sources like this which are certified by independent agencies.

Interesting. I believe we also have a vet here; maybe she could add to the discussion from a scientific stand point.

Rabbit Hearing? (Keep on Rockin' Me Bunny..)

We have an interesting discussion at Fuzzy-Rabbit.com about rabbit hearing. Many rabs seem to ignore fairly loud rock music while a few react fearfully to music. Anyone here know about the range of rabbit hearing & why it differs so much?

    Spiders and bunnies...this is weird.

Not to quibble, but are you sure they were widows or recluse? I've been hit by twin bite marks at times but never saw the biter. The "terrible two" can withhold their venom. Out here people worry more about Lyme Disease but i don't know if this affects buns.

Considering adopting bunn with medical condition.

Not to get up too many hopes, but a saw a pieceonline recently (can't find it now) about a rab that went thru allsorts of health ordeals & got over them all. You never know.

    Spiders and bunnies...this is weird.

Only black widows & brown recluse are ever dangerous in this hemisphere. Their range is limited. http://www.calpoison.org/public/spiders.html Note that neither species is dangerous to healthy adult humans. They can bite without injecting venom, like many snake species. I have not found any...

    update on the hard tummy

I have found that buns will react to odors& that it's possible that something on someone's skin or even their natural skin odor may cause a negative reaction, or a positive one. The rab may also react to someone's mood.

    Hair Balls

Glad she is better. As the article says, thereal problem is stasis, which is different from the hairball problem inother animals. The scientific jury is still out as to whether papaya or pineapple are good for stasis: http://www.chinchillas.com/estore/detail.aspx?ID=84 The best thing is a...

    Bunny's chewing problem.

Every substance i tried, the rabbits liked. Inthat case you need a mechanical block of some kind, like screwing pineboards to the edge of the cabinet

do bunnies make a sound when they are happy?

That is a reasonable size if the rab is not huge- she should still get playtime at least a few hours a day either in aplaypen of in your "bunny-safe" house. There should be an area of woodfloor to protect the feet from the floor wires. You can also useseagrass mats as cushioning (search Google.)

You can use a suitable size teflon or enamel (toprevent rust) baking pan. If it's not heavy enough add some heavyrocks. A large size pan will spread the urine around.

    Odor Control

Rabs are notorious for disliking most anythingnew (Daisy got depressed when i moved her cage from one side of thecage to the other in the living room. It's now back - she rules!) But iwill try the vanilla. She will try new foods. Here's an interesting article on vanilla extracts...
