Just curious to know if anyone has any advice about minilops before I pick ours up!

Thanks,

Leslie

I'm a Mini Lop mom and I think they're the best! I will always have at least one.

That's my Snuggy in the avatar. She is the biggest diva you can imagine, but I love her to pieces!

Are you getting a male or female? What color?

I can't wait to see pics!

He's a male, broken blue and is absolutelyadorable...His picture is on the sale page ofhopalongacres.com. He is the junior buck that says congratsto Leslie and family. We have 2 mini rex rabbits and we willnow have a minilop. I was just wondering if there was anyinfo I had to know about minilops.

Thanks,
Leslie

Not really. I have four lops and I just have to keep a checkon their ears. They don't get much air in there, so just makesure they are clean and don't have any redness or flakes.

I check mine a couple of times a week at breakfast, while they are eating and they don't even notice!

Congratulations! That baby boy is adorable!

good luck!!!!!
Again I'll say this, (I don't know where Lesliedave4k is from) but themini lop in the UK is different from the American and Canadian minilop. Rhix, yours is referred to as a Holland Lop in Canada and the US.:)I believe the dwarf lop is our version of the mini lop. ;)

Doesn't make sense to me. All I know isthey are cute.

US Mini Lops/UK Dwarf Lops and US HollandLops/UK Mini Lops are completely different breeds. Holland Lops arehalf the size of Mini Lops, they have shorter ears, they're more hyper, and just way different.

Ok. Thank you. I just like the floppy ears.

I was just making sure that you weren't gettingsomething that you weren't expecting, lol. But, if you don't reallyhave a preference, then I suppose it doesn't matter! :)

which is the smallest?:bunnydance:Wait does anyone know any good sites about them.

The American/Canadian Holland Lop is thesmallest lop. But the smaller the rabbit, the more hyper itgenerally is. My Holland Lop is nutso! But the American/CanadianMini Lop has it's bad points as well -- they are known to be biters butlike every other breed, that isn't always true.

The Holland Lop/UK Mini Lop is the smallest(averaging 3 pounds), and the Mini Lop/UK Dwarf Lop is bigger(averaging 6 pounds). Mini Lops have a different body structure, longerears, and they tend to be calmer. Holland lops have short, compactbodies, and a massive appearance considering how small they are. Thereare also huge French lops, and english lops which are also large withvery, very long ears. Here's a good site for information about ANYrabbit breed:
