My little dude doesn't seem to be acting right today , he's been acting a bit down since Lucky passed away, but today he's...well, he looks drunk! He's walking into things and he knows they are there, looks like he tries to avoid them but is hitting them anyway.
He's a sable coloured lop eared rabbit, and has red tinted brown eyes so his vision has always been a bit off, with scanning and such. He's also either partially deaf or just not afraid of very loud noises such as loud clapping and vacuum cleaners.
I've checked inside his ears for signs of an infection, they look clean and normal. His head isn't tilted and he's not scratching at his ears. I shone a torch down in there.
He almost looks like he has vertigo, which I know is an ear thing in humans, so maybe a deep inner ear infection? Wouldn't that make him shake his head though, and would it spontaniously occur on both sides of his head?
He can't figure out how to bite into his carrot slice and he looks frustrated :?. He keeps biting at the air then wobbling a bit.
I'm getting him to the vet as soon as possible, but any advice I can take with me would be much appreciated, not many rabbit-smart vets here. Mostly they poke and prod and take temperature then just prescribe general drugs that don't seem to do much :X.
