Some info I think all breeders should consider

TinysMom wrote: Sorry for all you are going through Peg. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise. You are now getting the rabbitry looking much nicer and maybe this will lead to something better :) No one should have to go through this. For this reason, I have never put pictures of my...

    Rabbit Show?

If you are that nervous about tattooing your rabbit, then I suggest you let someone else do it and walk away while they are doing it. This will relieve your stress as well as the rabbit's. They can sense when you are nervous. Also, this way, there is absolutely no way your rabbit will associate...

    URGENT Wean The Babies now?

At five weeks old, they are ready to be weaned. I had a doe that used to attack them at 3 weeks whenever they jumped out of the box. Sharon

    Creme D' Argent???

Definitely not a Trianta as those are a very deep red. Definitely not a Creme as you bunny doesn't have the coloring. Doesn't look to be a Palomino but could be a mix. How much does she weigh?

How would one go about showing in their county or state fair?

How would one go about showing in their county or state fair?

whaleyk98 wrote: I would go ahead and send in your entry anyway and see if it gets accepted. Here in CT, the deadline sometimes gets extended because cages are not filled yet. Sharon

How would one go about showing in their county or state fair?

Not sure about NY but here in CT, entries close about 3-4 weeks before the fair (or until all cages are filled) so make sure you get you entry in early. Sharon

Toby is a mix, but what kind?

Really too young to tell but looks like Polish or part Polish is not out of the question. Sharon

can anyone tell me my what breed my bunny looks like???

gianna244 wrote: Just wondering if you've seen a Checkered in person? If you have, then you would know that your rabbit is not a Checkered nor does it have any Checkered in it. Checkered Giants don't come in Chestnut. There is more to a breed than color. Just because a rabbit "looks"...

    new rabbit

OakRidgeRabbits wrote: LOL!!! Going back, I see the wool now. Could be a Sport Jersey Wooly. Or a mix of Dutch and something wooly. Sharon I still say the rabbit is not 8 weeks old...more like 5 weeks.

    new rabbit

It is a Dutch but how old is it? It looks to be about 4 or 5 weeks old. Too young to be sold. Cute though :) Sharon

    Selling pregnant does

I have bought does that were pregnant. Never had a problem. Like Pam said, they usually have plenty of time to settle in nicely. Also, it depends on the rabbit too. Some does, like most of my Dutch, are laid back and are excellent mothers. I had a doe give birth at the ARBA Convention...

can anyone tell me my what breed my bunny looks like???

Definitely not a Checkered Giant and not even a mix. Those are rabbits that are not usually mixed in. My guess is that it is just a mutt. It is Broken Chestnut in color. Some broken patterns also have the spine marking and spots down the side. Sharon

    Lionhead Rex Mix?

Hard to tell for sure. I think he is justa Lionhead. He could have some Mini Rex in him... I can see Mini Rex in his feet and his whiskers, His color is called Japanese Harlequin. Lionheads are supposed to have shorter fur over the back. He is very cute:)

    Baby Bunny Questions

I don't see a problem with letting the babies in the run. Just make sure that they can't get out any holes. Also, make sure it has a roof on it or they are being supervised as you don't want them being grabbed by birds. We have a lot of hawks in our area and I never let them run by themselves...
