Toby is a mix, but what kind?

Hi everyone!

When I bought Toby the pet store said he was a dwarf. But he doesn't really look like one the bigger he gets. He's just about doubled in length in 2 months. He's 4 months old now.

What do you think he is?

Really too young to tell but looks like Polish or part Polish is not out of the question.

Do have any idea how much he weighs?

His markings and stance almost suggest that he may be Rhinelander-ish. That would be a stretch since they're not a real common breed to be mixing around. But he does remind me of them a little bit.

The 4 month pix are around 1.5 pounds.

The 2 month old pix are about 1 lb.

I agree with Sharon it does look like he has some Polish in there!

We've got Polish rabbits. The color, rollback coat, and wider ears really don't indicate that he's got any Polish in him. The bone also looks too heavy for Polish.

that's how my mini rex doe will stand around before she leaps in the air and runs around. . . mini rex/dwarf mix?

a friend of mine bought this beautiful fully pedigree'd mini rex buck for his does(also fully pedigreed)and he throws non-rex furred children. he know's its not the does because he has bred them before to a different mini rex buck that he used to own and they threw rex fur, so it could be a situation like that, especially if it has the same mini rex lines that my doe has to the body structure.

Mini Rex mix could explain the source of the tri coat color, which isn't very common.

He looks a bit like Jasper who is mini rex X nethie. He's gorgeous whatever he is.

Numbat, your Jazz really does look like Toby. I think we're all on the right track about the mini rex part (pamnock is always right ). They both have that minirexie looking color but no rexie fur Your boy looks more nethie than my Toby does though, I think in the face. Toby his really big ears. Toby periscopes a lot too. My Toby is growing very long, but not so chubby yet. I alway say he looks like a rat. Your ratty Jazz pic is hilarious.
