Heya all.

My friend turned me onto this site when i told her i was finally getting a rabbit again. (my last rabbit died a few years ago and it upset me no end)

I am starting anew and i want to make me rabbit one of the most loved and spoilt bunnies there ever was!

:)

Heya War [Saz]. Glad you found the site, it's really good here and you learn loads. Can't wait to see your new bun! :)

Thanks han! I can't wait till i get my new lil bunny myself!!!

I still don't know what breed to get, or where it should live (inside or out) i want it to live inside but i think my mum might disagree a tad lol!

Hi there and welcome to RO!!

Inside bunnies are so much fun. They are a lot less work than outdoor bunnies (plus they are fun to hang out with when youre watching tv, doing homework etc).

Keep us posted and feel free to ask lots of questions :)

Thanks Haley

I used to have rabbits who lived outdoors and i always felt that i was being rather mean to them, i always wanted them to live inside but my parents said it was too hot for them to be in the house and that rabbits were outside animals anyway.

My only issue with having a rabbit indoors is where to keep it and the amount of space i'd have to give it.

Knowing me i'd end up giving the rabbit my room and i'd live in a cupboard somewhere.

A lot of people put cages in their rooms and let their bunnies run around the room during the day and cage them at night. All you need to do is bunnyproof your room and youre all set. :)Or if you have a walk in closet you could always put the cage there too.

And its usually hotter for bunnies outside than it is in. ;)You can always have a run set up outside for nice days when you want to take him/her out.

The cages can be as big as you want, the bigger the better. Most people here keep indoor rabbits and use NIC Cages (Neat Idea Cubes). These are cages that are built by connecting grids together, its a bit hard to explain so heres a link to a topic with lots of pics on

If I were allowed to keep my rabbit indoors I would deffinaltly consider building an NIC, they are easy to make, take down and you can build them exactly how you want! Hope this helps a bit.

Welcome to the forum War!

Your friend did you a great favor, by mentioning this site to you.
I spent several months lurking this forum and getting information before I got my rabbit.

Rainbows! :)

Welcome to the forum!

I see you've seen the NIC cages... They're really something, huh? :)
Since you want to pamper your rabbit, if you have any more questions about rabbit care/pampering, this is definitely the place to ask :p Welcome to the land of the bunny-people~ :bunnydance:

Wow, i've never been so welcomed on a site before. This is nice.

Indeedy do I want to pamper my rabbit (when i get it though)

Welcome! You definately made the right decision in doing your research. I learned everything I know right here or from my own buns.

Well, considering how many people seem to contribute to this and how many people are more than willing to help. I think this is going to be my main source of info for my rabbit from now on!

Thanks everyone!!!

Welcome to RO War! :biggrin2:

I have one indoor rabbit, and two outdoor (parents won't let be have the other two inside :(). I love having her in, she has a dogcrate in my room, but I never close her in - it's just like a base for her. You get to interact with them so much more than you would otherwise (and it's a lot easier - more than I expected it to be).

Hope you enjoy the forum!

Thanks Michaela!

I'm only allowed to get a rabbit when we have moved though (My parents are seperating) but i can't wait!

Ask ~Bracon~ she'll tell you, it's all i talk about!

Buying NIC and getting toys, getting bowls, planning the entire cage out and everything!

Having a bun inside will help for me to interact with it more because i'll admit, when i was about 10 we had some guinea pigs that were ''mine'' even though dad looked after them. They were outside though and i never really bothered, when i got older and we had the lops i was out there all the time, but 'cause i live in England it's cold so i didn't go out much (awful excuse i know).

Indoor bunny is gunna get so much love, completely pampered bun for sure!
