Bunny passed last week, Chloe. Tissue samples being sent out.Very frustrated necropsy inconclusive.

So Sorry for your loss :( Do you feel like telling us anymore about Chloe?

Mixed English Spot Rex adopted from the local shelter. Not sure of age.Was eating pooping drinking always hungry about a month ago started loosing weight kept loosing no matter what she ate. x rays done, barium x ray done, fecal float with anti parasitics given, fluids given.

Post mortem ultrasound given then necropsy done with no immediate cause of death.

She was a Beautiful bunny bonded to my Dutch. Have a dwarf not bonded that I immediately moved her abode near my Dutch, Munch. That has helped.

I live in the US. Chloe went to a bunny vet.

She was my husband's favorite of our three bunnies.

Have had bunnies on and off for over 30 years. Baffled and frustrated with her passing. Maybe their was an extra bunny angel needed right now for a big project?

So sorry for your loss :( May you rest in peace, I can imagine how frustrated you must feel.

Binky Free Chloe Sweetie :( x

My PM box is open if you want to chat/vent ....

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's worse not knowing the cause as well. It sounds like you got her the best care possible. Sometimes it's just time, or there's something the doctors can't see. I'm glad that her bond-buddy is getting some extra attention too. In the last 6 months I've lost two hamsters without any real indication that they were ill, and had a necropsy come back inconclusive as well. It's so scary not knowing whether it was something you could have prevented, whether or not it's contagious, etc. Just know that you did your very best for her, and the vet did their best for her as well. Binky free, Chloe.

I am so sorry :(

I am so very sorry for your loss. These are the losses where I always say "King Murray must be gathering the troops again." If you have not read King Murray's Royal Tail, I will send you a copy if you will PM your mailing address to me.

I, too, have one of the best bunny vets around ... Unfortunately, some things can't be fixed ... and others cannot even be figured out.I have also had a few inconclusive necropsies and I know how frustrating that is. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that it did not show any errors made on your part or your vet's.

Healing hugs.
