Hey everyone! I need some help. My name is Nina and Im from Charlotte NC.

Tonight my grandparents found a baby rabbit in the dining room, more than likely brought in by the cat. Its alright aside from a tiny nick on one of its toes. Later I caught the cat bringing in another baby, this one has no external injuries, and found one more outside which he had killed...I can only assume he's found a nest. The babies are about 4 inches in length with a thin coat of fur, eyes and ears still closed so I'm guessing they're no more than a week old. I've put them both in a box with a blanket and some heat packs underneath to keep them warm.

My aunt comes across a lot of little critters so I asked if she knew if animal control would take them. She said they would more than likely euthanize them and that's not fair! They deserve a fighting chance! =( If anyone can give me details on how I can care for them until I find a place that can take them or until they can be released I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh no! They are less than 14 days old. Sadly animal control WILL organized them and wildlife centers in NC will NOT accept them i learned this when i saved a wild bunny from a cat also.

I will search up some numbers for you and see if i can get anyone to take them.i would but i have a 1 yr old and their tiny bodies would be squashed if she got ahold of them.

Goats milk i think. With an eye dropper or medicine syringe. Hopefully someone with milk knowledge will show up soon as they really need the food or they will get too weak

My boyfriend is here to take care of them while I'm at work. I work at a drug store. Is there anything I can get from there to feed them? I went through the same thing with some baby squirrels my dad's dog had gotten a hold of a few years ago.

So.... i heard from the emergency vet that its illegal to feed wild rabbits ... hmmm. So you have 2 choices... lock the cat up and put them back in the nest and hope mom returns or continuously call this number for the wildlife zoo they will take them. 1-336-879-7644

You can try to rehab them but i don't know what kind of milk to give them and plus they will never be able to be released because they didn't learn from mom

Its 2 am. He's not my cat and the grandparents wont lock him in. They actually locked him out instead so he wont bring in anymore babies. If I put them back he'll kill them like he's probably done them rest and maybe even the mother. Can I give them water or something until I can get them something better and find someplace that will take them?

Pedialyte? Eh has to be better than nothing. Better than starving them. Purposely that number is 24 hours but they didn't answer me so i say try it i mean at least you tried. With limited knowledge and no help that's really the best you can do. Sorry im not more help but if it were me id give it something so try the pedialyte just a little at a tie though they have tiny bellies

Aww ... they are probably ready to nurse. I would try the pedialyte for sure i mean at 2 am there not really an option as far as what to do. I hope it goes well until some of the breeders with experience get online for more info. I would think keeping them hydrated will hold their little organs up until then.

They're still alive this morning =) I gave them a little more water and warmed up the heating packs. I'll be heading to work in a bit so I'll have grandma bring home the Pedialyte.
