I am new to the forum and I am a new rabbit mummy
I have a 10 week old lop called patch and I'm after some advice
I want to give or make him some treats but I'm not too sure what I can give him any help please?? Xxx
At such a young age the only "treats" should be his regular, plain pellets fed to him by hand. The pellets will be seen as a "treat" if fed by hand.
Young rabbits have such sensitive tummies, so caution is needed when deciding what to feed. On that subject, it's also important that he is being fed a healthy diet of plenty of hay and a good pellet (no muesli mixes).
In a couple weeks, you can slowly begin introducing some greens. Some say greens can be started a little earlier; some say a little later. 12 weeks is a good median. Upsetting the tummy of a young rabbit can lead to serious GI issues.
