Hi bunny lovers! I was excited toshare this super easy way to remove matts SAFELYfrom thetender skin of your long furred buns.
My 5 month old bun (angora mix female) Fluffy has the occasional'friction matt' she gets mainlybehind her frontlegs. Well last night she was resting in my lap and I decidedto take the opportunity to groom her on the side I could easilyreach. I've tried everything... blunt tip baby sissors.. myprofessional salon shears& even my good clippers andtrimmers.
Then last night I grabbed a comb and one of these blades alone .. andlifted the matt the nearly the size of a silver dollar, and begangently teasing the matt away from the skin. The mattbeganpeeling away from the downy coat of fur underneath near herskin. The fur left didn't look choppy like it willwhen cut with shears...AndIt was quick and painlessfor Fluffy. With a fresh guarded blade. The betterquality the longer they last. Feather brand is the best.
These blades have a protective guard built in, so you fingers and yourbuns skin is more safe from cuts than from clippers (that bog downanyway, and startle the little sweeties ... I don't recommend clippersbtw).. and are WAY safer, aside from the bulbed tip baby sissors Ialsofind useful. I definately recommend this methodof removeing matts to Anyone!
I was so excited that I thought I had to share this 'find' rightaway! I found a picture online so you can see these blades upcloser.
