i have 2 bunnies and 3 cats and its weird how 2 of our cats our scared of the bunnies and the other cat isnt scared !!!!!

if any of you have cats do they like the bunnies or not?

heres a pic of my bunnies with my cat boris

My cat isn't really bothered by my rabbits, hedoesn't like them but he never tries to attack them or anything(probably because they are nearly as big as him and have claws likedaggers!;)). I think he's actually quite protective over them ina big brother type way, he always lies in the sun beside their run.:D

I'll be working on getting the kittens andbunnies to be friends once the kittens are healthy. Right nowthe kittens are afraid of the bunnies, which is ok by me. Aslong as they don't hurt the rabbits.

The neighborhood cats would always sit by myrabbit's hutch outside. One time I accidently left the dooropen and found my rabbit lying down with a random cat taking in the sunthe next morning. There was this one Racoon which liked tohang out with him too.

Really? Feral/neighborhood cats and raccons are the number one killersof hutched rabbits in my area. The longest I've ever heard of for anoutdoor rabbit surviving in my town is nine months. Unless, they're inspecial shed or something like that. Hutch rabbits are always killed bydisease, predators, and weather here. I would never trust a random catwith a bunny, because by nature they are predatory animals. Now, atrusted family cat that is carefully introduced to a pet bunny, andsupervised carefully for weeks, I would trust.

I like raccoons too. They're notorious forbreaking into houses, hutches, sheds, and even cars around here. Ithink they're really clever and cute, but they can be quite viscious ifthey're trapped in your house, and they carry diseases as well. It'snot unheard of for a raccoon to try and attack a cat or dog, either.Unfortunately, a lot of people hate them around here, and often killthem which I'm pretty sure is illegal.

Dusty likes the cats but the cats are scared ofhim. He chases the cats around the house luckily they can jump up onsomething to get away. Then he just stands up like "How did you dothat?" The cats will only approach him when he's safely locked in hiscage.

Well it's probably the area I live in. I live in a 20k towncity in the California Bay Area. Dispite the commoncalifornian forest saving attitude we've managed to kill everything offhere. The cats probably wouldn't know what to do if theywanted to kill something. Plus once in a while I'd have myrabbit out and see a cat and introduce the two. After yearsliving here I think the cats just got used to him. The onlyanimals killed here are ones that become roadkill. :p

The Californian weather rarely gets strong enough to hurt anything anddisease? Never seen a problem with diseases killing anythinghere.

Racoons are... rare here. Don't know why.We don't get much animals at all. Just across the waterthey've got mountain lions, deer and crap too while we're stuck withnothing but birds, possums, rare racoons and pets. It'sprobably because of developement though.
