Rabbit playing with curtains and always wanting to get up on table. What’s this about?

I'm glad I'm not the only one with holes in my shirts lol This is a new behavior for my 5 month old Bun Jack. He also started non stop licking me. What is up with that? First a nibble and then he will lick my chest for like 10 minutes straight. Anybody else's bun do this?
Grooming you

I guess if one hasn't owned a puberty bun, or a really vocal one, they probably wouldn't know what a honk sounds like. How vocal is Louie?Honk is sort of like a small soft grunt? Not like tooth purring, not like a small sneezh, that honk sound usually comes from their schnozz. Sometimes i honk back to Storm and he will respond, what a sweetie. Back when Musti used to be a teenager, he would circle mum endlessly and those honks were LOUD. After his fix, he would do it in his sleep, sounded akin to soft snoring. I have a short sound file but i cannot upload it anywhere...
Aww! That is so cute! Sorry for the late reply but wow.. I didn’t know rabbits could do that. I know louie purrs when I pet him but other than that not much else happens. He also does circle my feet when he’s excited to eat. It’s real cute :) Thats unfortunate that you can’t upload the video /:

Also, Iris will go NUTS if i open the door but won't let her walk out the crate. I guess that's the whole reason why she had to pick at my pants-wanted to get out but i was blocking her. Storm will bump me, then nip, and if i don't move soon enough, he will try to force his way through. But sometimes he's nice enough to wait until i move. Lümi would kiss me if i was blocking him, and he would softly nibble at my skin. I miss that, i know for a fact that Storm will never give me a kiss as he's my boss and Iris is too skittish for that to ever happen. Back to the point, Musti would just flop into me if i wouldn't let him go by.
Haha looks like you have a feisty one who gets upset when you don’t let him out. Something we have in common is that when Louie sees I’ll enter a different room or im going outside he runs and he tries to leave with me. If I close the door on him he just gives me this glare 😂 He just sits there looking at me. Guilt tripping me haha. Whenever I go into the other room he does fight me to get in too. He manages to escape in there anyways so I guess he gets his fair share.

Hi everybody❤

Wonderful just sitting down with tea once again today and enjoying all your loving inputs to this thread🙂. Thank you ArtistChibi 😍for taken the initiative and to all of you 😍for your reactions and patience letting me squeeze in a little bit with my own great news.

Bianca will be a little Ducth tanned Hermelin. I simply can´t imagine my life without a cute little Bonnie jumping around in my home but I always need plenty of time letting my dearest Bonnies join each other in Heaven (and in my heart) before sincerely can welcome a new little one.

Amalie (passed away earlier this year 😢) also came from my wonderful rabbit breeder friend❤
Omg! That little munchkin is so cute 🥰 I wish I could go back to when Louie was small. So cute :) I’m sorry about that. That’s is really upsetting /: What did she pass away of? I’m sure she was cute as ever ): I’m sure you spent some good times with her and that’s what matters.

Yes! He used to do that to me when he was smaller. It was confusing but then I figured maybe he hates me and he loves me at the same time. That probably wasn’t it lol He loves to groom me. Doesn’t like to groom anyone else but me. He’s really my baby :) I’m so happy to have him really.

All our rabbits are sp/eutered. One pre-spay female from an old-tech farm licked me and hubby lots prior to her spay. After being spayed, her preference is to groom hubby.

With our bonded pairs in years past, once the partner has passed away the male or female chose to lick me persistently. Often years go by until some non-kissy buns decide to apply velvet kisses.

- My disabled (avatar) girl excelled as a constant groomer/licker after removing her from a minutes-away euthanization call at the overcrowded shelter.

What are velvet kisses? Also how many buns do you have? I always think what it would be like to get louie a friend but then I’m like I can’t because it would just be more trouble, more money and more attention aswell and I feel like he treats me as his bonded pair so I don’t think he needs anyone else.

We typically care for more than 10. We're established with our DVM clinic as Sanctuary for special needs' buns, and foster/rescue when space and time permits. All receive daily exercise, and vet care. @Nancy McClelland -- you likely know the amount of effort and finances that go with caring for more than 6

@BinkyLouie, a couple years ago a person emailed about their netherland dwarf they were unable to care for any longer. A network friend fostered, and foster-failed. Her special needs' bun had passed away two years earlier, and she was ready to welcome another bun. He grooms her and her husband every day!

Velvet kisses is the term used for the smooth feel of bunny licks.

It's perfectly fine if you and Louie are bonded. Special bonds as you described are priceless.

You are wise to factor in extra costs especially if one bun needs treatment for GI stasis, cecum gas, xrays, subQ fluids for diagnosed disease or ailments, et al. We buy bales of hay and bales diminish quickly when you care for 12+ (er, 29 at one time when 3 abandoned rabbits resulted in 19 from 2 pregnant, captured females prior to their spay appts. $3600 flew out of hub's wallet pretty darn quick back in 2006 with our DVM giving us a slight discount.

Treasure your groomers. Velvet kisses are special! Whether one or two feel your enduring TLC. My apologies for the photos that I often don't get time to post due to care of the current crew.

Enjoy the bonds you have with furry family members!

It delights me to see how curious our rabbits are and to watch them explore. They say "Curiosity killed the cat" but, our buns are probably as curious as any cat we've had.

Our house buns are not allowed in our living room; but, I left the gate open when I was reading in there, yesterday, so they came in an joined me. They had a blast exploring all the nooks and crannies they'd never seen, before; behind the sofa, behind the lamp table, under the chairs; then... binkies! :) They loved to do them on that lush carpet.

We had to make it harder for the buns to jump onto the kitchen table; but, they still get on top of the computer desk; so, we had to make everything bun-safe for them up there. That's Alfie on top of the printer and deskAlfie_Books_0315.jpgAlfie_Print_0269.jpg.

What a cutie! Louie was just up on the table a while ago lol Had to get him off before he planned anything.

Looking at these pictures makes me jealous. In a way that I wouldn’t want louie to be licking someone else other than me 😭😂 they are all so cute tho.

@Nancy McClelland - our lab/retriever would do the same thing. Choose the commode to lay behind as best she could fit when thunderstorms were upsetting.
