hi i got a rabbit yesterday hes only a few weeks & looks healthy but the problem is i havent seen any droppings,i read somewhere that they cangetfurballs and that "clogs" them up,any advice ??

I don't know how often really young bunnies should go to the bathroom, but do you know how many weeks old he is? Bunnies should be at least 8 wks old before they leave their mothers.

When Mocha was 8 weeks old she pooped all the time!

Are you feeding him the same food that he was getting before you got him? He should be getting the same stuff for now. Is he actually eating anything? He might be picky about a new brand of food, or he might be stressed out because of moving to a new home.

Did you give him any treats or veggies that might have upset his stomach?

If you're feeding the same food and haven't given him anything new, I'd suggest taking him in to a vet. If you're giving him different food, find out what he was eating before and give him the exact same stuff.

Hi its only 6wks,the guy i brought him from said hes never heard of that before, do i have to stimulate him are something?its been 2days now and no droppings.

If it's been 2 days that rabbit desperately needs to go to a vet! It is extremely dangerous for it to not have pooped in 2 days, this could be a matter of it's life or death. If you look up your location under the vets section, you may find a rabbit vet listed.

If it's been 2 days, that rabbit needs to see a vet asap. And at six weeks, he is pretty young to have been separated from his mother, so he may be experiencing other problems that need to be addressed by a veterinarian.

well, i'm a little late on this, but first I'd take him to the vet. This type of stuff isn't something to take lightly usually. Second, make sure he is drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of roughage (hay, etc.). Those two I believe help with keeping the digested hair from grooming from clogging up his system.

good luck with bunny but like everyone says it should not of left his mum yet as 6 weeks is far to young to be rehomed.

As far as I've heard 6 weeks is a suitable age for weaning... Charlie came to me from a breeder at 6 weeks and I had no problems.

Keep us updated on the little guy.
