Hello! I am new to rabbits online! I joined because my now 3 year old rabbit, Pugsley has had tons of health issues over the past year... He has had something called Ryeneck twice and two red lumps on his nose in May... He is fine now but now he has a HUGE lump on his neck... Can anyone help?? I will post a pic soon!

*Pugsley is a three year old mini lop/mini rex.. I havent noticed anything else wrong.. He still eats and drinks and goes to the bathroom a normal amount...

Without seeing a picture, and not having a whole lot to go on...it sounds like either a dental problem or an abscess. Whatever the case may be, he should be seen by you vet as soon as you can get him in.

Though a picture here could help forum members try to guess what it is, I'd go see a Vet to make sure of what it is. Could be an abscess which would definitely need vet intervention.

Oh wow. Did it burst and end up looking like that? Or did it grow like that?

You can have abscesses at the base of the ear, but I'm not sure that's in the right position. The wry neck would make it logically an ear issue. But that looks pretty odd, more like a tumour.

Hope he's okay. Please let us know the verdict!

sas

We talked to our vet and they said that they think it is a insect bite or bee sting.. They said to give him antibiotics and put antibiotic cream on it... I hope it helps!
