Lava's Wigglies

I put them in a box while I looked at them....there are four wigglies...

Lava is a black dilute carrier....she was mated to Treasure who is achestnut. Two of these babies are the lighter color - two areblack on top....I"ll look at them better later.

I'm not thrilled with Lava right now. She didn't do a greatjob on her nest and so I've remade it for her...and she keeps jumpingin and out of the nest and making the babies squeal. If shedoesn't do well, I will foster them out I think if the other mamas willtake them. I'm just going to watch her (and the wigglies) andsee.... I have her last litter - they were beautiful andhealthy - so I know she knows how to be a good mama...and the onlyreason her breeder sold her was because she carries the dilutegene...and she was getting out of dilutes.

Ok...enough rambling. We're now at 17 babies!

Yep - the maternity ward is now closing its labor & deliveryfacilities for at least a month so mama (me) can recover herrest.

The hardest part will be going through and deciding who to sell at theshow in October....and who to keep. I mean...can't I keepthem ALL? (Just kidding).
