I am so glad that you guy are enjoying the story, but I want to warnyou this part is going to be very sad, it has taken some time to get tothis point, where I can even write about it. But, I wanted to shareHersheys life with you all, and no better way to tell about butthrough the eyes of Casper.
They next two years, after Hersheys Head tilt, thing were reallywonderful. Hershey and I were the best of friends. I always tried totake really good care of her, see she had to have a lot of attention.She was such a girl She always needed kisses. She was also a mommysgirl, she would follow mommy around all the time, and she always helpedmommy clean our cage. She always had a cute way of cocking her head, noone could resist her.
In April of 2005, we celebrated our 8[suP]th[/suP] birthday together. Mommy bought us each a carrot pie. It was delicious
Hershey began drinking lots of water and losing weight, mommy gotconcerned and took her to the vet, and they did blood work. My littlegirls kidneys didnt want to work anymore, and we found out too late.Hershey did really good for a while, then she just could do it anymore,mommy tried everything she could to keep her well, on her last day,mommy gave her favorite food strawberries, she just gobbled them up.Hershey told me it was time, and we had our good byes.
During the night Hershey took a turn for the worst, mommy stayed rightwith her the whole night. Mommy took her to the vet, there she wasfinally at peace.

Mommy and Daddy cried a lot. I was really depressed they were worriedabout me too. I spent a lot of my time behind the couch or under thebed. It has gotten better for us all, we still will never forget ourlittle girl. Daddy wrote a poem, I would like to share it.
