One question I had just the other night from someone at a friend's house, while discussing rabbits, was, "do rabbits have teeth?" --That one really took the cake. Has she never seen a Bugs Bunny cartoon?

What are some funny bunny questions you've heard?

Maybe we can make a Top Ten list here.

Well, the most often asked question to me about Loki is "Is that a puppy?" They don't even ask about Lily. I've had several people just assume she's a cat. haha!

I guess the mainstream just thinks in terms of puppies or kittens. I don't know. I'm just guessing based on my very limited experience. I never had pets of any kind until my girlfriend's kids gave me two box turtles, and then I was talked into rabbits, two years ago.

"WHAT?! YOU HAVE RABBITS THAT LIVE INSIDE OF YOUR HOUSE?!"

This is another question that irks me, but I just try to smile and say, yes, and explain. I think most people are just so accustomed to thinking of rabbits as wild animals, and don't appreciate the domestic aspect of having a bunny as a companion.

Ugh!

A very irritating question.
I agree, I dont mind someone asking "Oh, whats the lifespan of a rabbit?" Because I dont mindawnsering peoples questions, but when they think its only a year or two it jsut makes me mad. Im not usre why, but it does.

Yep, that's a classic.

What puzzles me even more, is the same people aren't as shocked about pet snakes. To me, a pet snake is a lot more to wrap my head around than a pet bunny.

'You can litter train a rabbit?' Is the one I get the most.

And

'You let him run around outside?' People seem surprised that my rabbits can run in the garden and not go anywhere.

And a lot of people ask why I can't keep them all in the same hutch, we're talking about around six rabbits, most not desexed, not raised together, males and females... isn't it obvious why they can't all live in one hutch?

That's so funny you say that. The first time my sister's boyfriend came to my house he thought my Bandit was a little doggy running around LOL I don't see how a rabbit looks like a dog. But I've gotten that too :)

My most asked question is: "You spay and neuter your rabbit's?" OR "Isn't a Rabbit just a really big Rodent?"

You know, I will admit I'm ignorant to a lot of things too that I don't know about. But I don't ask stupid questions like that. I ask a question to get an answer, not to insult someone. People have a funny way of asking things sometimes, it's quite rude at times!

At a show I was at a woman asked about a lionhead , "When will its ears grow as big as that one?" (pointing to a lop) lol.

But I get, "You have a rabbit in your house?", "Rabbits can be litter trained?", all the time.

Thats very annoying! It's like saying "Why don't you let your dog go free?" They'd become STRAYS!!
