There was origionally a flat kindergartener size boy called flat stanely...if we used the name stanely there might be some copyright problems since there are books of flat stanely...

We'll get this going as soon as possible. Swanlake lost her grandfather today. :(

If people don't like the name Bunley, perhaps we could have a little poll? People could make some name suggestions and then everyone could vote. That sounds like fun and another way to make him our own! Are we still going to laminate him? I think he'll get destroyed at my house by my bunnies if he's not laminated. And I don't think he has to be huge or anything, sized to fit in a normal envelope a birthday card comes in would be fine.

Im so sorry Swanlake, your family is in my prayers tonight :(

Snowy, I like the idea of a name vote- that would be fun!

Tamsin said she'd love to help us create something to send around. Not sure if she'll post here so I'll post her response:

"What a cool idea. I'd be happy to do/provide the drawing for it. Do you have one in particular in mind you like? I have bigger versions of everything. Do you want a real looking sketch or something a bit cartoony?

One of the rescues in the UK I work with has a toy bunny called Sir Parsley who is posted between people to raise money. Each person makes a donation to rescue in exchange for his visit: http://www.therabbithouse.co.uk/

Tamsin"

So she can design us something or we can use one of her images or something! Let me know what you guys think!

COUNT ME IN!!!!

:wave2

Lol I don't know why but I keep thinking bonded buns cause it would be lonely traveling.

We'll have to wait until Swanlake is back to get her opinion (since this was her idea) but here are some cool bunnies from Tamsin's website:

OR she can design something for us- more realistics, cartoony- bonded pair? whatever!

Nice! I like bunnies number 2 and 3 the best! I think it would be nice if bunny #2 were colored in if we pick that one so you can see him better in the pictures. His shape should fit in an envelope easily since the ears are loppy and the view is from the front so it's not as long. For #3, the bunny without the yellow border (so as not to take up too much space) would be awesome.

Suggestion...

Post a pdf file of the flat bunny art

Then members could download and create their own flat bunny to take pictures of while they travel.

-Just a thought

That's a good suggestion, ruffhaus, although I must say I really like the idea of one Flat Bunley travelling the world, and using good old post boxes and stamps etc! Plus you receiving the same Bunley that has had pics taken with other people's rabbits etc...

I dunno, I guess I'm just an old fashioned gal at heart! :)

I don't know whether people would think this appropriate or not.. but how about using a picture of The Bunfather? He's been our bunny-mascotte for such a long time...
Sorry if I offended anyone with this proposal though.

Yep, the whole idea is that the same bunny visits everyone. Then everyone gets to tell what neat things they did.
