We've tried a variety of products, some with success, some not. The ribbed plastic seemed the way to go because it is cheap and easy to use; but, our buns seemed to enjoy chewing it as much as the cord. It didn't stop them from cutting the wires.
Next, we tried clear plastic tubing and slit it lengthwise. That was a little bit better, especially the thicker-walled stuff; but, to me it was expensive and a pain to cut. Some buns still managed to chew through it; but, at least they didn't cut the wires inside.
Our best solution is reasonable cheap: Spiral wrap tubing from Cable Ties and More.

It is fairly dense and hard to chew; but, a determined bunny can bite between the turns. We only lost one 89¢ phone cord wrapped with the spiral stuff. We got a 100-foot roll of 1/8-inch size for $10 and another 100-foot roll of 1/4-inch for $13.36.
It is a bit tiresome to wrap the cords with it; but, in most cases you'll only need to do it once. If the wire is especially dangerous--such as something carrying house voltage, I'll wrap it with two layers. In once case I put the clear plastic tubing on, first, then wrapped it with the 1/4-inch spiral. No bunny has ever attempted to bite through it.
In most instances it is easier to enclose wiring, such as under a desk, with bookcase cube wire mesh panels.
