I recently got a baby bunny to bond with mybaby(she recently lost her sibligs, she is the only survivor) but themother bunny is attacking the new one. I have tried to bond then, butthe baby is terrified of the mom, she runs and hids, she wedges herselfbehind their hidie box and gets stuck everytime. I have separated them, but the baby I had already is still nursing, so I can't move her to becaged with the new bun(they get along well).

The mom rips out this poor bunn's fur, it isn't just a dominancedisplay, she terrifies the poor baby. The mom is nice to my otherrabbits(she also terrorizes my cat). I don't know what to do.It is sad.

thats a cute picture :D

of course the mother rabbit is upset about her loss so it's going totake a while for her to adjust to wanting another bunny around so justtry to keep the away from each other, you can introduce the babies toeach other but you'll have to nurse the new one seperately

The babies get along well, but mom is just beingmean.Even the dad sits by the new bunny's cage when he is loose.Isthere any way I can make this happen any sooner?I am limited for space, and I have the bun in a tempoary cage, but I need to move her in thebig pin with the others soon.

not really, it takes a lot of time unless youwant to give the bunny up for adoption. If you do it too soon, themother rabbit might kill the baby

I know why she was being so mean, she had 4 babies on tuesday!!!!!!!!!!
I was really confused because when she had her last litter, as soon asI saw the babies(that morning) I separated the male, and they have notbeentyogether since.
I counted back, and 32 days ago, she had her last litter(the one wheremy cay ate them all). She must have gotten preggers from the time shegave birth to a couple hours after when I woke up and saw the babiesand removed the male. Wow, bunnies don't waste any time.....
