I have a French Angora doe that had pretty bad mats when I got her. I have cut a lot of her fur off, but she doesn't like to be picked up for very long (or at all), so it takes a long time to do this, and she squirms the whole time. The areas where the mats are the worst, though, like her bottom and belly and legs, she won't let me cut off. She HATES being flipped over, so I haven't been able to trim her belly fur. So, of course, the matting is just getting worse. I was hoping I could brush some of them out, but I don't think I can. Does anyone have any advice for how I can take care of her fur better? She's not a mean bunny. She's curious and will come up and let me pet her or she will jump on the couch or the bed, but she's not super friendly and she came from a breeder that I don't think handled her much.
