Alright, Ive had the problem bun for a few yearsnow ( never any problems with him ever, he had weak nails when i firstgot him but that was because he had nowhere to run at his old home, andstayed in a cage all day...), he was adopted about 2 years ago from afriend that didnt care for him as well as they should, Hes recntlydeveloped watery stools. just hoping that this is a quick to curething. he gets adequate water almost all of the time, and hay. but tobe honest hay hasnt been as readily available every day as it shouldbe. >_< my fault entirely.. ive been working somuch lately and my parents have been caring for the bun. so thatsreally my fault for not being able to be there for them. but,ill be on it more now that i see that this is hapening.....Grr. any tips on clearing this are more than welcome ^_^.

The heat Index maybe playing a factor in all this also hon, its been way too hot here ,rabbits are reacting to it severely , Iknow mine are , The StandardRex babies and MyFrench Lop all 3decided to do the same thingto me 2 days ago. just try andpush the hay and maybe afew pinches of oats to help dryhim up . At first Ithought it was thealafalfa hay but I am notso sure concidering none of the otherbabies developed watry poops ,and good l;ord theres still a lot ofbabies lol . Try also to have afan blowing acrossed his cage , but notdirectly on him ,. Keep us posted how heis doing , let us know ifmore suggestions are needed .

im so glad to know its just the heat thatscausing this mainly. Ill move the cage to a better spot under thepavillion to keep em cool. ( theres no outlets out there so its hard) Inever leave em in direct sun, but i may move my English to his Hutchsoon because he just needs more space to run around.... thanks a tonhon! ^_^ thank god todays not too bad heatwise. it was evil the otherday.

omg! if this heatdoesnt quit im going to go nutsoid , itsover 300 ft , to my garage and 6 trips aday to change water and Ice bottlesis exhausting in this heat. with Asthmaon top of the mix itcertainly makes life interesting lol . Iwould still limit pelletstill He dries up some, then slowly reintroduce it ,He should be fine assoon as the weather straightens out.

We've had a couple with running stools duringthese extreme weather changes. It's generallyviral. If it doesn't clear up in a couple days, you'll wantto look further into the cause. I wouldn't be too concernedif the rabbit is still eating and drinking as the runny stool due torotavirus is generally not fatal. Keep a close eye on thesituation and be sure your rabbit isn't getting dehydrated.
