Hello! I am new to the forum and so excited that I found it.

We have two bunnies. Figaro is a 6-1/2 year old lop mix and Gepetto is an 8-year-old New Zealand White. We are a multi-pet household, and also have Great Danes, Tennessee Walking Horses and a cat.

Figaro has been with us since she was 8 weeks old, and we rescued Gepetto when he was 1-1/2 (estimated).

They have always been really healthy, fortunately. Gepetto has a carbohydrate intolerance, so he can't eat pellets very often. He only gets them if we happen to go out of town for an overnight. Otherwise, they have eaten Oxbow Timothy Hay their whole lives and have gotten a variety of veggies (mostly) every day.

Too funny! They do look quite alike!
When I bought Fig from the pet store (horrors, I know!), they told me she was a Holland Lop. They also told me she was a boy, and when I went to have "him" neutered, the vet informed me otherwise. My husband said "no wonder she's been chewing on the carpet! You've been saying 'good boy!' for months!" It was pretty funny. Anyway, I don't think she is a Holland Lop because she is nearly as big as her New Zealand mate! What breed is your bun?

Mine is a Holland Lop, yours could be a mini lop those get to be a good size. I can relate to the boy/girl thing. Thats happened to me a couple of times!
