It's cute to see how quickly babies pick up on the water bottle concept, probably because they see mama drinking from it all the time . . ^.^ You have little furries whose eyes are barely open, and they're standing up to get at the bottle .. One thing that might help, besides the sweet stuff...

I think the problem is really two-fold. 1) not everyone sees pets as being 'part of the family' - especially young kids who say 'I want a bunny/puppy/kitty!', but also a lot of adults. To them, pets are accessories, or toys. So trying to ask them how their furry little family member is doing...

I'm very sad to say that the little bird diedlast night :( We'd managed to feed it some, hadn't yet got itto drink any water. I put it in its nestbox, all bundled upwith towels, and put it up where the cats couldn't reach it while Iwent to a movie with Dad and Bro. When we got back threehours...

My cat, wonderful thoughtful hunter that he is,has brought me a live baby bird. It has blood on it - I don'tthink that it's the baby's.. . If the mom is still around, it probablywon't accept the baby now that it smells like me. So . . how do I take care of it? I have a box (rejected nest-box)...
