my bunny is giving birth right now!! Help!

You've gotten good advice. Make sure there are no dead babies or left over placenta in the nest... and youreally should put the babies in some sort of Nestbox to keep them together. (Lift the fur and babies and put them in a box... even a cardboard box would work, and put the box in the same...

Update on seizure kits, and double pregnancy?

The breeding on March 13th may have stimulated her to expell retained kits from a previous pregnancy... either way, keep an eye on her, she could still be pregnant from that breeding... Hopefully she isn't pregnant and will have time to heal up a bit. Sounds like she's had a rough time of it.

Accidents Happen...Didnt think it would happen to me

How is the mom today? The peeing all over could be her way of protecting the babies. It's their instinct not to pee near the babies (to avoid attracting preditors) and she may not want to use the litter box so close to them. She'll settle down as the litter matures. Congrats on your "Twins"...

    Help. What breed is Sunny?

She could be a young Satin or Satin mix... her fur is very glossy... Very cute! :biggrin2:

    test breeding

Sounds like he just "had to get to know them first"... a real gentleman! LOL! (Doesn't he know he's a rabbit????) I'd consider them bred and wait 3-4 days and put her back with him, just for a few minutes... do not leave them alone! She should be very vocal and protestif she is already bred. (Be...

    Pregnant Doe?

Does can be palpated at 10-12 days after breeding, if you know what you are looking for. :D

Would you go to the state show or not?

TinysMom wrote: I understand that! Everyone tried to talk me out of the blues... for YEARS they "reminded" me that only Sandy's win... But honestly, I'm not in just to win... I love the Blue color... and I want to breed the best Blues I possible can... we've come a long way... (A certain BLUE...

Would you go to the state show or not?

If you can afford it, I'd would go. As mentioned, it's a chance to get a different opinion of your rabbits. Also consider, you are "new" to the breed (as far as showing), if you do well, it helps get your name "out there". When you are just starting out, a win is a win... and a BOV or BOB looks...

    Mini rex babies!

If the baby refuses to suckle or swallow, there isn't much you can do. Keep encouraging him to find a nipple and see if it improves.

    Mini rex babies!

OH, I'm sorry the blues didn't make it... what a shame! I guess it was just not the best photo of the black. Best of luck with them!

    Due Dates!

Even if you had found them sooner, there is no guarantee that they would have made it. You don't know when she was bred... how long her preganancy ran... how she kindled them...what she did to themafter cleaning... It is not your fault. Don't blame yourself.

    Mini rex babies!

(not trying to put a damper on things, but...) Your little black runt looks like a Peanut - also called a Double Dwarf... (he inherited 2 dwarfing genes from his parents, instead of one.) It looks like he has the typical domed head... very tiny ears.... he may not make it. They generally don't...

    Due Dates!

Most (but not all) of my does kindle at night, usually between 10 pm and 1 am... But I've had a few that deliver during the day, regardless of who's around!

One of my 8 month old girl bunnies only had 1 baby!!!!

One is not uncommon. You might want to keep any eye onthe one baby to make sure it stays warm (it doesn't have the benefit of sibling body heat). Also, as the only one tapping into the "milk source", you don't want him getting fat... If the baby starts getting too "rolly-polly", you can remove...

    Due Dates!

I've had live babies kindled at 35 days after breeding... but past 35 days is not good... I have a litter now (Flemish) born at day 32.
