Today when I picked her up. I was feeling her belly. And I notice her teets(****s) starting to filling up with milk..

The lady I got her from said she is due on March 16th but the Buck was with her all the time. So who knows when she is due.

Does that mean she's going to have her kits on the 16th or sooner??

Thanks, Misty

No. If anything, the buck may have rebred her half way through, and it might possibly make it a tad later. Or around the 16th.

I had a doe who accidentally got rebred halfway through, and kindled almost a week between the two. Needless to say, half were underdeveloped and were probably born dead, and the half that were in there earlier, were dead due to the extra week.

So it's kinda up in there air. But I don't know. LOL.

If the breeder first put them together February 13, and that's how she figured a due date of March 16th, she shouldn't go early... but if she put them together earlier and only recorded Feb 13 as the breeding date, because that's when she saw them "do it"... then yeah, she can go earlier.

If you are worried, put the nestbox in now. Make sure she keeps it clean (do not put it in the corner she poops in!) Give her lots of hay to work with.

I got 3 Does are due March 31st.. When is the earliest we can feel the babies.. I know my dutch is diffenetly pregnant cause we seen the breeding going on but the other 2 we didnt see it because they were at the breeders house.

Does can be palpated at 10-12 days after breeding, if you know what you are looking for. :D
