Due Dates!

She had 2 babies but they were both cold.. Tired to warm them up. One started to move but nothing no more.. They are both dead

Oh dear! I am SO sorry they didn't make it. Please don't blame yourself. She is a first time mom and may not have known exactly what to do...

She had a nest built. But i found blood in the cage part.. She cleaned them good. No marks on them.. But the babies werent in the nest.. They look like they were fed but im not sure... Her tail was still a little wet

Even if you had found them sooner, there is no guarantee that they would have made it. You don't know when she was bred... how long her preganancy ran... how she kindled them...what she did to themafter cleaning... It is not your fault. Don't blame yourself. :hug:

Yeah,, My aunt told me that it could be from the buck was with her all the time w/ the last owner or she was under weight when we got her..

I just was so excited to have 1st litter to my new rabbitry. She did good. She made an nest and everything. We moved her into the hatch yesterday because i was afriad that the cage and the nesting box was to small and she would hurt them.
But the wired thing was when we found them they were both cold to the touch. I started rubbing them and put them under the heating had. It started to move and breath but when i looked it was gone.The babies were huge. They were about 4 inches long. From tip of my finger to my palm. Maybe next litters end of this month will do better. I have 3 promisable litters. I know one for sure..
But I talked to my aunt and she told me to put the doe back with the buck to rebred her so i did... Was that a bad thing?

98% of the time on day 32. Usually between 1 am and 4 am or 7 am to 10 am.

I put them due as day 31 but I never expect the babies that day, 5 years of day 32 babies has taught me better.
