    Older bunn with skin lumps.

Everything came back as inconclusive, but cancer negative. The vet is stumped...and so far none of the other vets on the forum know what it could be. The vet is suggesting treating for bacteria because it is the least dangerous option. They excised one of the lumps and that was what...

    Older bunn with skin lumps.

OK...more info... The bunn is around 8 years old... The lumps are solid, pea sized. There are 6-7 lumps altogether...2 on her back relatively close together, 2-3 on her upper neck, and one on either side of her jaw. They have all stayed about the same size except two...one on her back and...

    Older bunn with skin lumps.

As I understand it the skin is unbroken... You can't tell they are there unless rubbing the rabbit or petting. She ha to go out last night so she wasn't able to return my email...still waiting for more details.

    Older bunn with skin lumps.

Hey guys... I need a few ideas here! I have a friend with an older bunn...how old we aren't sure, she was adopted. She noticed lumps/bumps on her bunns skin...so she took her to the vet and had a biopsy done...it came back today...not cancer. However, the lab isn't sure exactly what it is.:?SO...

    Spraying.

OK... So my next question...was it a complete neuter with total removal of the testicles? Yes....it sounds weird...but we had a rabbit (Tucker)...he was supposed to be neutered when we got him...but because one of his testes was stuck...they left it and we had to go back and have a crypt...

    Spraying.

Yup...our longest was just over three months...nipping, spraying, singing...he was a love machine that one!:biggrin2: If it was a recent neuter it isn't a quick fix...it can take weeks for their hormone levels to die down.

    Fat rabbits

Our kids are all on Oxbow..they get about 1/4 cup each per day...unlimited hay and loads of veg. I do tend to give out treats a little heavy sometimes...but have been getting better at resisting the dying bunny face...as in..."Mom...I desperately need treats or I may expire right here and...

Thorns in hay -- okay for buns to eat?

Since reading that thread about dead animals in the hay bags…

We feed baled hay from a horse stable...we feed 6-8 bales a year and our friendswith rabbits buy bales from us...maybe another 10-12 a year...in the last 6 years neither we nor the people that got hay from us have ever found either a live or dead animal! We have loads of weeds, different...

Where are the scent glands and how do i clean them?

It depends on how comfortable you are with holding your bunns! If you've never done it before they are probably not going to be impressed that you suddenly got it into your head one day to poke around down there! Or if you haven't attempted this before...I suggest two people for the...

    Pumpkin seeds?

I am in training to become a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator... I contacted one of our nutritionists to double check with her on the pumpkin seeds. Pumpkin seeds are in the same catagory as spinach and kale...high in calcium but also high in phospherous...which means oxalates. Oxalates block...

    Dangers of a Christmas Tree

We trim our tree so we have 24" between the lowest branches and the floor. We don't put lights in the lower 18 inches of the tree. You still have to plug them into the wall... So we wrapped a box in wrapping paper...cut out a hole at the back of the box and then we can put it up against the...

    Dangers of a Christmas Tree

Every year we let our newest bunn help us put up the Christmas tree.:biggrin2: This year it will be Samhain...it is his first Christmas with us...so while the other bunns are locked up he will have free run while we drag it in, cut it, trim it and put it up in the stand. It's the putting in...

    SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

You can try. As I said...some people are really great about it...others...not so much! At the worst...if you direct them to the RO forum or give them info on rabbit care...if they do find a home for their bunn...they may pass on that info to the new owner. So the bunn would have a...
