    Putting weight on a rabbit

Uncooked rolled oats can be give to a bun but only in moderate quantities, especially if the oats are being newly introduced. They are also recommended for soft stools. Banana will also add weight, but again in moderation.

    wet-chinned bucks

Wet dewlap should be kept an eye on, as it can be a symptom of mallocclusion, & cause dermatitis. If the bun is dragging its dewlap in its water bowl, try putting less water in the bowl.

yet one more of my silly questions

Beautiful rabbit, almost identical to my first, Sahara. She lived to be 10 & was quite a bun. People would come over just to see her - none of my others have been that charismatic but she seemed to have something special about her. My mother used to tell "Sahara stories" at work as if she were a...

    Wonky Sammy

Head Tilt & Other Neurological Diseases: http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabrefs.html#tilt One cause can be an inner ear infection, which has to by gone after very persistently or it will return. Sounds like this may be the problem here. See article in link above by Ackerman &...

    Insecticides

Here's the sort of thing. But while said to be "safe for pets", how they can repel rats, squirrels, etc. & not affect rabs i'm unclear (tho rabs are not rodents & their origins are unclear, i'd want an expert opinion on this & not an ad.) http://www.pestrepellerultimate.com/google.htm

    Shaking bunny?

She may feel alarmed & think that you are a predator trying to grasp her. Remember she does not understand what you are doing. Calm her down before & after with plenty of pets & talk to her so she knows you're her friend. Spend time with her after her cleaning. Rub noses!

    Shaking bunny?

It's an involuntary reaction, no problem - you can stop it by touching the feet if you want.

Baby bunny in the shelter-beautiful, healthy

I was assuming the bun had not been in its new place very long. Either way it's a chance for another bun to find a home.

You could ask the shelter lady to contact the people who took her & explain the situation. They just might be kind.

    Dribbling Bunny?

You can check his teeth or have them checked. It's also true that a bun may drool a little with delight while it's being cuddled!

    Slowing down...

I've wondered about Daisy lately also - maybe the summer? She loves to bask in front of the air conditioner. Everything is normal except she is not as energetic as before the hot weather set in. She'll run around a bit & then take over the swivel chair for an hour or more. She does express...

    Jacques is dead

Dogs are used in arson investigations, since they can detect a minute amount of accelerant such as gasoline in a large fire scene. The same with explosives. Likewise, sharks can detect a single drop of blood from miles away. The long-range navigation abilities of birds & whales are still mysteries.

Odor Control : For Daisy's cage under-floor box, i sprinkle in about 1/4" layer of baking soda. Lasts for several days & then it can all easily be rinsed out into the toilet. Wood/paper type beddings would be harder to dispose of. Soda is also very cheap, buy large boxes of store brand.

Frankly i would ask the vet about pain meds - some of them just fail to give them. Pain Control for Pet Rabbits: http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&A=500
