I use regular house brand (cheap) baking soda in the closed litter box in the cage. No problems.

    water bottle question

Stoneware crocks come in various sizes, so even the biggest bun can use it securely.

    how smart are bunnies?

Yes, just get a bowl heavy/big enough to not get tipped. My Bear used to pee in his small feed bowl but he stopped when i gothim a larger bowl. I think the small bowl just fit well under him.:) naturestee wrote:

    water bottle question

I fill the crock just about half way - that helps keep the water clean. A heavy-straight-sided stoneware crock that's big enough will not flip.Stay away from the lightweight china bowls. The farm shop &such is more likely to have the heavy crocks, pet stores tend to havethe light bowls.

    how smart are bunnies?

Stoneware crocks, (6" inside diameter for onebun) if at all possible are best. The buns will drink more, which ishealthy for them. Bottles are hard to clean & can fail. A crockin a corner does not take up much space.

How did you get started with bunnies?

As a kid i was never allowed to have pets. As an adult I had Bipolar Disorder, was alone & in my 30s my therapist suggested getting a rab as a companion besides my parakeets. That was in 1985 & i've had buns ever since.

    Easter Photo's

It's probably pretty safe to run this kind of photo spread on a rabbit site like this where most people are responsible, but i thought i'd link to the problem of associating rabbits with Easter, which probably most people here will agree with: http://www.rabbit.org/adoption/easter.html
