    A little concerned

If the entire nail came our there shouldn't be an issue, however if there is a portion of the nail remaining it would be very painful. I would probably not feel comfortable trying to take care of this myself and would suggest that you take him to a rabbit knowledgeable vet who may need to give...

    help with bunny

it sounds like he is congested and needs to see an experienced rabbit saavy vet as soon as possible . may want to use a cool mister also May also have something stuck in his nostrils like hay

    Neutering cost

That price is the going rate around here in La Crosse Wi at the more rabbit savvy vets. I would go with the vet that you think is the most experienced if you can pay it. Some vets use laser surgery and glue on testicles..very easy recovery (usually)

    Urination frequency

If the pink sac is visible he most likely sucked in the testicle . it is really amazing the way they can make them disappear... but it is a good idea to have the vet look at it before the neuter

    Possible GI problems

I've been through GI stasis many many times with rabbits and it is very exhausting . The rabbit gets well and the owner get sick (LOL ) it really takes a lot of effort to do it right .

    Sudden balding

Is there any hair loss anywhere else under than her belly? It does appear that it is possibly coming back in places. Sometimes in a big molt a rabbit will have temporary bald spots . give us more info. Her skin looks smooth and clean

    Urination frequency

Is he neutered? Actually I am sure that he is fine. Some of my rabbits pee a lot and others don't ; pay a lot of attention to the rabbit's behavior . if he is not straining in the box or uncomfortable I am sure that he is fine . If there are no changes in behavior ..don't worry

    giant Flemish suddenly passed

I am so sorry that this happened. Unfortunately without a necropsy you will never really know what happened to your sweet bun. Because rabbits are inherently prey animals they are skilled at hiding any type of illness or injury. When they pass it appears it was sudden when actually there may...

    Lower Incisor Removal

Well I just reread this thread and realized that I was thinking b that his lower incisors were removed due to a malocclusion rather than a jaw abscess. Your vet probably was just concentrating on the abscess and getting the teeth out because of it. I can tell that you are a very concerned and...

Bunny treated for URI with Baytril in October, sick again?

I spent a little time trying to look up Flo-cillin and for some reason it is not easy to get much info other than it is Pen G Bicillin is 2 types of penicillin that are combined, one being faster acting than the other with the intent of causing an immediate powerful response, while keeping...

    Lower Incisor Removal

Normally both the upper and lowers are removed for the exact reason that you cited. Rabbits can pick up food with their lips and move it back to the molars to grind food. I don't know why your vet did what he did ?

Not Sure What is Going on - RIP

So sorry for your loss. These type of issues come on so quickly with such nebulous symptoms. Simethicone can be a life -saver as simple as this sounds and yet sometimes even then the rabbit succumbs. Rabbit are definitely high maintenance animals . I am so very sorry for your loss ! <3

Bunny treated for URI with Baytril in October, sick again?

It doesn't sound to me like the baytril is really working that well because if it did the infection would not be reoccurring. I went through the "baytril" thing many years ago before I knew much. My bun would respond to the baytril but the infection would reoccur in several months. I would then...

Common dental problems in flat faced rabbits?

I had a Holland lop with just terrible dental issues and malocclusion. I went to an exotic animal dentist who told me that these problems are more common in bunnies bred to look cute with flat faces I spent a lot of money on him and kept him going for many years. It is really important that you...

    Raspy breathing

It is good that you brought him inside. Sounds like pneumonia to me and the very best thing that you can do is keep him comfy and take him to the vet (rabbit savvy) ASAP . Let us know...vet will most likely do an x-ray, listen to his chest and prescribe some antibiotics

Wet clicking noise in one ear?

Can you take a video of your bunny ( when the sounds are present) and send it to your vet or even post it here? I would want to have the ear checked out . Just doesn't sound normal

How do i know if my rabbits really dead?

Oh I am so very sorry !!!! It sounds like your rabbit was deceased when you found him. Even the very best owner can lose a young rabbit quickly and without apparent cause. I am sure that it was nothing that you caused. ((Hugs))
