Hello! I've noticed recently that when I rub my mini lop Macy's ears (she loves this) one of them has been making a wet clicking noise. It sounds like it is coming from deep in the ear and it' s not constant but it does happen when her floppy ear moves once in awhile.
Macy is a pasturella bunny, she's currently on antibiotics as prescribed by the vet I take her to a vet who is one suggested by the House Rabbit Society. Her symptoms are very controlled at the time, and have been limited to sneezing and small amounts of discharge.
The wet sound is only coming from one ear. The only time she seems bothered by it is when I mess with her ear for multiple minutes to hear the noise and she doesn't seem to be in pain it's more of a "mom, stop messing with my ear" reaction and she'll shake her head for a moment after I played with it but never shakes her head otherwise.
I've called my vet and she said she hasn't heard of a bunny having a wet noise and no other symptoms. She said to keep an eye out for any changes in eating, potty, any sighs of pain/discomfort and any head tilt or lack of balance etc. She said at this time not to be too concerned, but I thought I would get the opinion of you all. Have you ever had anything similar? Thanks!
Also I don't think it would be mites since she is on revolution and I think that prevents/kills them?
