What do you think about this mat?

From Ikea. The thing that has me wondering are the black Velcro strips. This thing is designed to be attached to a table leg for cats to scratch on.

Actually I am thinking to use it as a mat.

Very small mat for 8$, barely 10x25". And that it can withstand sharpening of cat claws is somewhat overkill for a simple floor covering.

Many kinds of cheap carpet leftovers or PVC flooring would do, I prefer cardboard on PVC.

@Preitler do you mean overall and in general or do you mean to cover an entire area? I was just thinking one for Lu to hang out on, chew, whatever.

I think it looks neat however you end up using it! Mine love laying around on rugs!
