My husband freaked out about not wanting to be home during trick-or-treat time, so we went out to dinner. Took MIL, too.
Hubby seems to be pretty dense, as he kept trying to find places to go after dinner, so we wouldn't be home. Didn't matter how many times I told him we'd be fine if we just kept the porch light off, he was still freaking out.
Maybe when he was a kid, he didn't go by the light rule. *shrug*

Home now, thankfully.

I was at the store today to get rabbit food, and they still had plenty of pumpkins left. I hope to score one on sale tomorrow, hopefully will get one to roast the seeds. I like them "dirty," too. Usually, I just use salt on them. I eat the whole thing, cracking them open is too much work.

I love Halloween :) My mom has had a tradition of always getting to do the kids to do a trick in order for a treat...She would dress up the house, wear a costume, and always be so enthusiastic. Kids would come to the house specially to perform for her :D

I try my best to keep the tradition going down here:I ask them about their costume, their secret weapons the noise they'd make (lion: ROAR!), how they died, etc. If you don't wear a costume, I will put you through your paces until I've been fully entertained ;). Then ya get the candy!

Got about 95% compliance rate... I give the babes in arms a pass :) Too cute! Had about 70 kids this year. I was a geisha, and the cats dressed up too :) Weather was decent... windy, but not too cold.

*first pics are of a MacGyvered set of bunny ears for a friend's costume... took coat hanger, socks headband and masking tape. 10 minutes!
