I might see if I can get a pumpkin on discount, tomorrow or Sunday. Probably won't carve it, but will get the seeds to roast. Yum!!

My brother is (going to graduate soon) phamacutal phramist person, so im taking his lab coat! But im not going out tomorrow, i have to answer the door.

I usually go see The Rocky Horror Picture Show in theaters, but I'm not going this year. :grumpy: Erika, who I always go with, has to work and it's kind of blasphemous to think of going without her. So I guess I'll just hang out with the boyfriend and maybe watch a scary movie if I can muster up the courage. :biggrin2:

We started celebrating Halloween today, watched Nightmare On Elm Street. I'm going to my Grandparent's tomorrow dressed as Michael Jackson.

Oh and it's after 12 so....

Happy Halloween!

We get together with another married couple and their two young kids and carve pumpkins together. That was about two weeks ago. Then we decorate our house a bit and hand out candy. Can't skip handing out candy! There's not many kids in my area though. If there were more I'd dress up like I used to in my home town.

Edit: and tonight I'm watching Night of the Lepus!

There are no flippin' pumpkins left in this town!!!

*cries* I waited far too long. Oy!!

And we had a surprise tonight... Trick or Treating in our town was TONIGHT. Which kind of worked out because Tanner was sick, so it was easier to shuffle him around for an hour rather than drive all the way to my sister's, do that there, and all that. But tomorrow he is spending the night with my grandparents. So we will still have our party.

This Halloween is kind of sucking.

I sit in a dark house and hide from the trick-or-treaters, lol!
Me too!

I think Halloween was the best part of apartment living, kids weren't supposed to go door to door. This year, I will have to hide in my house.I hope the neighborhood kids understand that a porch light that is off means "no candy here."
There are some that don't understand the "porch light off" thing. I find them usually to be teenagers that are out without their parents.

I told hubby to put a big sign out on both porches saying "SWINE FLU!"

I figure that might keep people from knocking.

Daughter and I are going to the climate-controlled (it's muggy and hot and yucky down here), well-lit mall. All of the stores pass out candy to the kids. She's looking forward to dinner in the food court. LOL We so rarely go to the mall that it's a big treat.

Tonight's the night!!!

We've decorated the front yard with tombstones, coffins, a mummy in a sarcophagus, Frankenstein and his Bride, walkway and railing lights.
Later on today will set up the fog machineand spooky sound effects.

We usually get lots of kids, so we bought several bags of candy to hand out.

We carved one Jack-O last night and we'll do the other two today.
Same with roasting pumpkin seeds....did some last night and will do the rest today.
Watch for the live broadcast!!! We'll be carving and watching Wallace and Grommit's "The Curse of the Were-Rabbit"

mm...havnt celebrated halloween in a couple years, but this year were going to have a bonfire..ill prob be the only one to dress up as i had to for work today

well I have beef stew in the crock pot waiting to be eaten probably by 330, then we will get the kids in their costumes and head over to my sisters house. WE live on a dark , long country road and NO ONE comes around!!!!!!! it is nice as it saves me in money buying candy, lol. But it stinks that i have to get the kids all together and drive to my sisters house, she doesnt live far but driving w hen kids are all excited and running into the street not paying attention, makes me to freaking nervous.

Right now it is rainy and my three year old was throwing up earlier , i am hoping that it stops cause i am not taking him out in the rain, poor kid. Then we will come home and get the kids to bed and me and the hubby will watch scary movies probably

I'm going out for Halloween - with a radio, as part of a "Spook Watch" operation with our local Amateur Radio Emergency Services group. We've been providing an extra set of eyes and ears for the County Sheriff on Halloween night for probably 20 years or more. One ham operator's at the Sheriff's Office from dark through about 10:30 or 11:00, the rest of us drive around assigned areas in the county.

We just keep an eye out for kids getting too rowdy or destructive. I usually cover a small village near me, where mostly the kids cover each other with shaving cream (good clean fun by anyone's definition). We haven't really been needed much in recent years, between Halloween falling on week nights and having it snow a bunch of years. It's on Saturday this year and warmish (low 50's), so we're expecting a bit more excitement than usual (if the rain doesn't wash everything out).

I'm planning on a 5pm (EST) broadcast.

Sunset is about 6pm so that'll give me enuf time to get the jack-os carved and lit before it gets dark.

I'll have to create a new show....I'll post the link when it's ready.

My daughter already cleaned one of the pumpkins, and we roasted the seeds....
"dirty* seeds w/ onion and garlic"

* dirty means the seeds are not rinsed clean, and are roasted with the pumpkin stuff still on them.

oh-yeah-yummers-stuff!!!

how do you eat them? Do you do it like sunflower seeds and eat the meat inside or do you eat the whole thing?

That's kind of an individual preference.

Since I roast them crispy, most prefer to eat them with the shell.
However, some prefer to peel the shell off and eat just the insides.

It's getting late here now, 21:30. The kids have all been trick or treating and we are at my Grandparent's house, the adults are having some drinks and chatting about boring stuff and the kids are wrestling with my Granda so I said I'd come on here for a little while. I'm actually getting tired!
