I just bought him home from a breeder where he lived in a big outdoor cage with his family. I spread his fur and found these patches. Should I be worried?

Is it just a bald patch with new fur regrowth that you're wondering about, or is there crusting, dandruff, or lesions on the skin that you're worried about? Because he was living with other rabbits, the most likely explanation is pulled fur and possible scabs from hormonal mounting/humping, or possible fights.

it’s a few bald patches with new fur growing and a little bit of dead skin/dandruff in the areas where the fur is regrowing but nowhere else.

He is 8 weeks old and lived with his siblings and parents.

I am keeping an eye on it but just wanting to make sure it’s not mites or something worse.

If the buck(the dad) was in with them, it could have been caused by him trying to hump the babies. But if fur loss and/or dandruff persists, it's likely to be fur mites causing it. Though if it were fur mites, the fur wouldn't likely be growing back in.

Medirabbit: fur mites
