I really hope that someone with a lot of knowledge and experience can help me diagnose my rabbit's problem

3 days ago he started have mushy droppings... it's awkwardly shaped, much darker than the regular droppings, and it smells really bad. it sticks to his bottom as well.

then he stops eating pellets, only sometimes picking on the hay. he stopped drinking either. i gave him a little bit of his favorite banana, food that he would chase you after for, but he woudln't even eat that.

also, i noticed that his ears are cold recently. his ears are usually quite warm.

can someone please tell me what's wrong with him??

Can you get him to a vet?

It could be a number of things, like coccidia, but only a vet can diagnose.

If he's not drinking, he won't last long.

Have you tried syringing water or pedialyte? If you've never done it before, you have to be very careful, so he doesn't aspirate the liquid into his lungs.

Get some pedialyte into him, and also make a pellet slurry. Grind up some of his pellets and mix it withwater or pedialyte, then use a large syringe to feed it to him.

He needs to see a vet ASAP, it sounds like there is something seriously wrong.

The cold ears mean he's having a hard time keeping his body temperature up. Try giving him a warm to well out of the dryer, or a sock filled with rice then microwaved.

agreed, he needs a vet.

i would force him some water, possibly a pellet slurry. . . you want to keep him hydrated and keep his gut moving. . .

his he currently going though a molt? has he eaten any new veggies lately? is there anything he could have gotten into to (from chemicals,to fabric. . .wood, cords, carpet? anything?). . .

i would be getting him tot he vet right away. . .

I agree with everyone else- he needs a vet, and he needs to have fluids and a little food syringed into him.

Please keep us updated.

How's your boy?? Were you able to get him to a vet? Is he okay??
