I brought my holland lop home last week at 8 weeks old. I weighed him on my kitchen scale the next day and he was 11.4 oz. I weighed him again today, one week later and he is 11.5 oz. Should I be concerned he isn’t growing? He loves hay and has free access to it. He doesn’t love pellets but he will eat a few here and there. He does seem to love oats. I mix them in with his pellets as that is what his breeder was doing with him. Should I be concerned?

You might try a different kind of pellet. If what you’re giving him isn’t alfalfa based then I’d try one that is. I would expect him to gain more than that in a week.

Maybe he haven’t gotten used with everything that’s new.

I remember when my rabbit was a kit the first week, he was to scared and nervous to eat up his pellets. But when he became safer with everything, he got more appetite. But it’s good to watch his weight.

Changing pellets might also help, some rabbits are picky eaters and you just have to find what he likes. Their exist quite a lot of different pellets brands.
