My rabbit may has gotten fur mites sometime last year, and she got a set of 3 shots to stop them. While grooming her today I noticed little white specks, I'm aware that walking dandruff is common in rabbits but I'm just so CONFUSED! Shes been shedding near her tail but theres no bald spots whatsoever, I looked everywhere and nothing. I know when may got them before she had a bald spot behind her ear so I knew for sure she had them. Another thing that is confusing is that my other rabbit autumn has never gotten fur mites even tho shes been around may. I make sure to check their fur everytime I groom them and autumns fur it always thick, and she barely sheds. The weather where I live has been really hot and dry. I have the air on constantly due to this so I was thinking maybe she has dry skin? I even searched up if rabbits can get dry skin but all google keeps telling me is that its walking dandruff. So, if anyone has any advice it would be nice
Hi! Try to disinfect their area. Its possible the reason why the walking dandruff keeps coming back is 'cause there are some lurking in their enclosure/area.
Then maybe go back to your vet for another Revolution treatment

If it's minor, it's possible it could just be a little dry skin. But if it worsens to more dandruff, fur loss, or you're just concerned that she's having a mite problem again, then I would call up your vet. Though this time I would ask for Revolution as FuzzyBunny suggested.

One thing to consider, is that rabbits with other underlying health issues and a compromised immune system, or ones that are under stress, can be more prone to a mite problem developing. So that's how there can be a problem with one rabbit and not with the other that has contact with the affected rabbit.
