Since I last posted, Molly has shown no more symptoms of head tilt which leaves me kind of wondering if she had it at all. If she did have it wouldn't she progress or get worse?? anyway she is eating well drinking and filling up her litter box as usual, she is also very active!!! ;)

There are many different causes of head tilt, so the disease may progress at a rapid rate, stabilize or abate, depending on the cause and severity.

Yes, a virus could be the cause or could have been the cause of a secondary bacterial infection. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatories are commonly used for treatment if this is suspected.

the vet didn't prescribe anything because she said that she would rather wait to see if the condition got worse, because she said she didn't like giving antibiotics to rabbits unless absolutely necessary, did she do the right thing??????

sometimes it looks like it is tilting but just a tiny bit and sometimes it doesn't at all! but in any case she hasn't progressed suddenly to major tilt
