Yikes. I'm glad you got her in to a vet. It is good that they'll have her over the weekend, as they probably want to do that to keep an eye on her to keep her from tearing out the stitches again. You're doing a great job for her. Please let us know how she is on Monday.

i cut a bit of it so she can eat her food.it will not reach but if i cut it anymore it will fall off. so i wake up every 2 or 3hourss to syrine her water and give her food.
or take it off for her to eat.....

my mum and dad has really really banned me from the vets. well not me the rabbits.....
so i guess they cant get there myniuos and vhd jabs.
or any thing else.
i hope they are happy for giving eyore and caramel death sentances/..

I would try to figure out a way to earn some money to get the injections

After all you did get her to the vet which means that you have a lot of initiative and spunk and can work on a problem until you resolve it.
When you are able to be around Caramel and can watch her I would take off the collar ..but when you have to leave (even for a few hours) put it back on.

Most buns do not do well with them but it sounds like you are on top of things by syringing fluids and food to her. You only need to do this for a4-5 days because once those sutures really close it won't matter as much if she chews out a few.
your parents are being sensible about the economic conditions of the family and that is understandable , however, when you love your pets it isn't easy being sensible about it.

Most of us are the same as you are and it will care for the pet no matter what ..

so to us you are a great person for getting her back to the vet when she ws in need of it.
Now start thinking of ways you can earn some $$$...babysitting, petsitting, going to the store for elderly people etc ..think about it

have a jar or something to put all extra change into as a fund to save for their shots

Maybe once your parents have gotten over the initial financial shock they will calm down a bit. You're doing such a great job with food and stuff. I've never had a bunny in an e-collar, but it seems necessary in her case. Good luck!

the hospitalization did not cost anything.there is no financilal sckock for either of them.

im not allowed any money.

or out side except for the rabbits/my dog.

and i dont get pocket miney or change.

so all i can do is skip lunch like i did for the spay/neteur....

but now i am not allowed to canteen, so its a pack lunch. so i am money stuck.:cry1:

but even if i get enough money then i am banned from the vets. so i will niot beable to go.

so i would be breaking on of the five animal fredoms.
:nerves1

ps. when i am in the room with her, i wrap a bandage around the belly sort 0of bit and leave her to be a rabbit! i do my homework in the same room and stuff. so i take the e collar off.(which she likes better...:))

Pineapple juice! It's very good in these situations =D

I'm going to Egypt for 3 weeks in May, but I'm stuck in Amsterdam for two days- how far is that from where you are? I could give you some bunny stuff if its not too far!
