Our Introduction:
Hi everyone!! My name is Lindsey and i own one of the world's sweetest bunnies. His name is Turbo, he's 3 years old. His birthday is on February 21, 2009. The pet store said he was a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit but i'm not so sure that I believe that... I got him when he was about 3 weeks old and I weened him off a bottle to hard food, he took to it like a CHAMP!! Sadly, I bought him from a pet store i was working at whenever I bought him, unaware of adoption opportunities and benefits. While i am remorseful that i couldn't adopt, i'm ever so happy that i have my baby bunny <3 Turbo lights up my world and I know i'm the center of his little bunny world. He's not neutered (we go to the vet tomorrow to discuss options and his FIRST vet visit) being a first time bunny owner i wasn't quite sure if bunnies were supposed to go for annual visits until my friend a fellow bunny owner told me that he should have yearly visits if not bi-yearly.

What's In a Name?
Turbo named himself one morning, he was out of his cage hopping around and when it was time to get back in the cage for a break for water and (at the time) litter box attempt, he REFUSED to get in the cage. Turbs made me chase him all over the living room, to the bathroom, dining room, my bedroom, his room, and finally with a tiny piece of banana ... he agreed to go in his cage.

Hi, My Name is Turbo and I'm an Addict.
**sniff sniff** HIYA! I'm addicted to carrots, grapes, dark green lettuce, Timothy hay, papaya tablets, dried banana, dried papaya, dried pineapples, cucumbers, and YOGURT BITES! **nom nom nom nom** can i have some more?

Conclusion to the Ever So Large Introduction!!
I'd like everyone to meet my easter dream, my chocolate bunny come to life, my sweet angel bunny, my little Turbo man, my sweet baby boy .... TURBO!!!!

Welcome to RO!

Sweet Bunny! Rabbits are such AWESOME companions!

Look forward to hearing more about your Dream Chocolate Bunny!

K:)

Welcome to RO, Lindsey & Turbo.

Lindsey, about neutering, it doesn't seem to be a health benefit for male rabbits the way it is for females, so if it's not a behavioral issue & you're not planning to get him a companion, you may choose not to do it.

Turbo, those yogurt bites have got to go. Stick to the other things you like.

Nancy. :biggrin2:
ZRabbits. Thank you!!
LakeCondo. Thanks for the info!! That's very beneficial, he's a sweet bunny and in fact it took me by surprise at how sweet he is considering that he isn't neutered. He does have a toy squirrel i bought to keep him company that he likes to well....be intimate with. But his behavior hasn't changed and he's still a sweetheart so I don't pay any mind to it.

As for the treats well he hasn't eaten any since he last ran out due to his poops changing, that's not healthy so we stopped eating them but if he hears a baggie rustle he gets suuuuper excitedddd!!!

He sure is a cutie. I second the yogurt bites. I read they are not so healthy before I got my bun buns. So good job mommy bun for watching the poopies. :)

We went to the vet today for a check up. They had to have a vet tech hold him while the vet looked at everything and I had to step in and put my hand over his eyes. The vet was very impressed how bun savvy I was for Turbo being my first.

I learn the best tips and tricks from experience...also, turbs has a couple temper tantrums every now and then...nothing some hay can't fix.

Thank you all for the bunny love!
**sniff sniff snuggle snuggle**

Ahhh!! I never realized that, and thank you very much!! I'm excited to be here and turbo is excited to see other bunnies! He's such a social bunnyfly. :wink

Turbo, most rabbits on the site are good influences, or at least not bad. But DO NOT copy a few, especially a girl whose on a diet now & whose name starts with F, lol. Or if you were a floor potato like my Honey, you wouldn't have been named Turbo.

:) bunny kisses are the absolute best!!

What's really adorable is the fact that Turbs absolutely LOVES sleeping on stethoscopes, i'm guessing because they're cold? so he'll lay on mine and fall asleep and i'll fall asleep listening to his little heartbeat <3 its sooo sweeeettt if you ever have the opportunity to try it i suggest you do!

LakeCondo, we'll try to avoid bad bunny advice and do our part to provide truthful and correct information where needed ... :innocent

Welcome Lindsey & Turbo. I too have a Netherlands Dwarf and he's very sweet. :) He is neutered though bc he has a girlfriend and we don't want babies!!

Here is my Thumper.

Oh how sweet!!! Turbo is definitely not a nethie but Thumper is such a handsome man!! Ohhh I could just give him hugsssss. Turbo is a spoiled brat when it comes to other animals...he wants nothing to do with them so I'm scared of getting another pet. He'd be such a rebel.

Aww my Thumper runs around with his girl bun and my three little dogs. LOL I'm glad they all can play nice.

I didn't think Turbo looked like a full ND but you never know, some have bigger ears. ;)
