Toy problem.

I’ve been getting my bunny lots of toys but she’s only interested in toys that have apple and Timothy hay in them. These toys barely last a day and I can’t get these everyday. I try to buy other toys that should last longer but she takes no interest in them. What do I do?

You can make toys with timothy hay in it. Like a toilet paper roll stuffed with hay.

Just covered this in another thread. Rabbits don't play with toys like cats and dogs do. Rabbit play is an expression of their natural behaviors. Like chewing, digging, practicing escape moves, etc. So you want to find things and activities where they can use these behaviors.

ah I meant like chew toys, I got her chew toys yet she doesn’t like any of them

How old is she? It took Ruby a long time to actually start playing (ie. Chewing for fun). I had her for 3 months before I saw her picking things up, throwing them around and chewing on them ( other than the willow balls). Now she'll take anything and scamper off to chew. She just turned one,

Same thing. It has to be things they would normally chew in the wild. Rabbit safe branches like willow, apple, bramble, birch, etc. And yes, they do destroy them in no time. Which is why it's preferable if you can find a source in your yard or area that is free for you to gather yourself, and is uncontaminated with pesticides/herbicides and not next to road pollution.

If you don't have this kind of access to natural products, one thing that can be used is timothy or other grass hay cubes. They aren't a replacement for loose hay, as rabbits don't really consume a large portion of them, but they can chew on them as an activity. So maybe try that. Stick with the grass hay ones like timothy, and not the alfalfa, and make sure there are no other additives, just plain chopped hay. There are a few different options available on amazon or online, or you may be able to find grass hay cubes at a farm supply.

If your rabbit likes hay then I recommend SPS (small pet select!) I got this link from a youtuber, so maybe it supports them or something? They were a small youtube so I guess they'll be happy!
