Taco Bunny! Is my bunny a dwarf?? (pics included) *new member

Wondering if he qualified as a Netherland or not. So far he seems to fit the categories. He was a adoptee. A friend of mine was going to send him to the animal shelter. But I couldn’t let this cutie go considering how bunnies don’t last there.

He is about 2-2.5# maybe 3 after he eats! He’s never not eating something lol he has tiny little ears and giant eyes. Even his left eye bugs out after seeing treats. Haha super cute. Also not even sure the ***. I was told he’s male but can’t afford vet visits. :/ he may be around 1.5 years old.

It looks like a dwarf but it could be a mix. Sorry I'm not the best at telling breeds. Here's something though that way you can tell the gender. Flip your rabbit over. Be careful not to put it in a trance as this can be very harmful and scary for the rabbit, and push down on the little thing under its anus. If it is a male when you push down there should be obvious pointed male gentaila and also testicles would be present on both sides. Now if its a girl when you push down it should kinda be like a tear drop/leave shape. Hope this helps. Sorry I couldnt help with the breed at all.

With those short ears, I'd say probably either a netherland dwarf or polish.

It's hard to tell without a picture from the side with him sitting down or in the posed position. But his head looks Netherland dwarf

thanks soo much for ur quick reply. i have tried to do this to the bunny but was worried it was traumatic for him.. should be a fun new chapter for me and the bunny getting this close and personal haha

Looks like a Netherland Dwarf. Ears are short enough, eyes big enough, weight is about right. But, might not be a pure bred.

I’m going to disagree and say it’s a Polish or Polish mix. NDs were used early on in developing the Polish breed, so there is some resemblance, but if you look at a purebred ND you will see the difference in the face...and their ears and body are shorter.
