Hi, Itâs Flashy here.
That sounds odd so Iâll give a quick explanation before getting to the main point of this.
I am no longer contactable on this site, which is why Polly is posting this. I can not access my PMs here and won't be able to (Polly has changed my password). This happened the day after Sweep died, so if I have any PMs, I have not deliberately ignored you, I just haven't got them, and won't be getting them.

On with the show.
When Sweep died I promised some of you (mainly Polly and also Luvabun, but I mentioned it in my thread) a tribute to my brave boy. I also promised him and I do NOT break promises. (If no one read the original thread, it can be found via my -'Flashy'- profile and is called 'Lumps, Bumps, Tumours, Abscesses, the lot' or something to that effect).
This is my celebration of the last weeks of Sweepâs life. We wanted to make those last weeks of his life amazing for him, so that he went from Seventh Heaven to Bunny Heaven.
It hasbeen very hard to compile. In this instance grieving for him seems like a selfish indulgence because he went out with a blast and I should be thinking about the terrific time he had, so I have been trying and succeeding. I have tried to do these with Sweepâs spirit and memory in mind. They are long, probably too long, but hopefully not too sad, and hopefully they are worth the time you take to watch them.
Tomorrow (Sunday 22nd) will be one month since Sweep died, so I have been pushing them through.

I mentioned to Polly they day this happened. I witnessed the Dance of the Old, Intact man, so I give you...

We had 6 weeks to treasure with Sweep, and boy did we treasure them. He had a great time andI recorded it both through videos and photos. In the following video, you will see the deterioration throughout the time, and you can also see his lump is a few of the later pictures, but despite all that, he never lost his zest, and he never lost his spirit.
Sweep's Photo Diary (Just under 10 minutes)

Sweep had a great last day, and it was not right to cram it into his diary.

It's really important to me that Sweep's life is celebrated, so I give you the most important video (and the one to watch if you don't watch the rest).
Sweep's Celebration (Just under 4 minutes)

I have asked for this to be locked because this is about celebration, laughing at him and Sandy, smiling at his feistiness (if that's a word) and I have no place for any sad comments when it comes to Sweep. Everytime I have missed him it has been when I have been laughing at 'Sweep's Celebration'. Don't watch this and be sad, watch it and laugh, or enjoy what he did, or marvel at his spirit. It would be disrespectful to him for us to mourn or be sad when he was so happy.
On that note, I stumbled across his present to me. Ozzy gave me Cloud, Boof gave me Sandy (although I took a while to catch on), Moon gave me Badger, Flash waited and then gave me the Dinkies. Sweep has given me Candyfloss.
Candyfloss is still currently at the RSPCA. She was found wandering around someone's garden (the same way Sweep once was, by our neighbour). She is incredibly soppy, very friendly, and within a few mintues was snuggled up on my lap, asleep. She is a female Cloud (REW), although a little larger than him, and a bit of a mutt. On Monday I will be taking the Dopeys and Cloud down to the centre to see her and if she gets on with them, she will be coming straight home. If she gets on with them, then it is a true gift from Sweep, a thank you for all I did. If they don't get on then Sweep is having a laugh and has found another way to tease me. I truly hope they get on because she already has a strong place in my heart and I would hate to have to turn her down.
I just want to finish with a story.
A few days after Sweep died the weather was dry so I decided to put the rabbits out in the runs. I moved two Dopeys into a run and went back for Cloud (bonded trio). After Cloud had finished giving me the run around I returned, with him, to the run. I found only one Dopey there. Not good. So I looked around wildly and spotted the other Dopey. She was up by Sweepâs grave and walking around it.
The Dopeys and Cloud spent the last six weeks of Sweepâs life in the run next to him, and in the hutch next to his (they could see each other when Sweep was in his run and the Dopeys and Cloud were downstairs).
When I went over to her she didnât run (like Dopeys normally do-they are rather good escape artists), she just let me pick her up.
It was almost like she was saying âItâs ok, Iâve said goodbye nowâ.
So we end on that note. âItâs ok, Iâve said goodbye nowâ.
Goodbye Droopy Draws. Hope I didyou justice.
