Sudden weird behavior changes??

Olive is just about to turn 1 year old, and on Tuesday I noticed two sudden changes: First, she became VERY frisky! Normally active, outgoing, and playful, she's now on another level... and now her activity includes humping her friend Pimento, a floppy-eared puppy plush toy about her size that I got her a few weeks ago for companionship. Until this week she only ever snuggled next to it and licked its paws and ears. The other day she was...insatiable! The second thing is that she also has made a new litterbox for herself in the corner of an armchair in her primary room. She was super easy to litterbox train and pretty much has only gone in her box until this week. For the past few days she barely uses it at all. She's eating and drinking normally. She's not spayed, and she's the only bun in the house. Does this sound like normal bun behavior? If so, any tips for helping her channel her energy? (other than spaying, which I'm considering) Thanks!

'Spring fever' and false pregnancy, are the most common causes for the sudden increase of hormonal behaviors in female rabbits. Uterine abnormalities related to the development of uterine cancer, can also result in an increase of hormonal and false pregnancy type behaviors. Your rabbits behavior is most likely spring fever. Uterine issues may be a slight possibility, but due to her young age, aren't as likely.

With spring fever, there's not really anything that can be done besides waiting it out. You can try different things to divert this extra energy to. Like a digging box, cardboard boxes or old book to shred(if your rabbit doesn't consume paper), rabbit safe branches to chew, etc. Usually the behavior will subside in a few weeks, though it can last longer sometimes.
