My rabbit currently lives in a shed on a door mat, which is apparently not waterproof. I would love to move her inside so she'd see humans more often, but we have hardwood floors and I can't risk an accident leading to water damage.
I'm trying to figure out what would be a cheap, waterproof floor option. She doesn't have too much chewing trouble, so her damaging the flooring isn't really a concern. Just something I can put over the house's floor to ensure no damage will come to it.
With all the rabbits being housed in big diy enclosures nowadays, there must be a good material out there. Heck if I haven't wrung out my resources trying to find it, though.
Thank you in advance.

I would stick with a nice large woven cotton rug! Cotton is a good option because it is soft on their feet, easy to digest if she decides to chew it, and is good for traction.

Okay, those qualities sound really good for the happiness of the rabbit. Hadn't considered cotton before! However, wouldn't liquid seep through something like that?

Well, why would it be getting wet in the first place? Is she litter trained? I have Theo on a nice rug and he never has any accidents or spills his water bowl. I just had to make sure I got a heavy crock water bowl so he couldn't flip it.
If you are still worried about the hardwood getting wet, you could put another rug or puppy pee pads underneath it.

A lot of fabric stores have rolls of the stuff you can get and back any rug you want super cheap! I personally have always bought large patio rugs, which are moisture-wicking and often rubber backed... the best deal I found was in the winter months at Lowe's... 9'x8'6" rug for 35 USD! Good luck!
