Looking for a stethoscope, my hearing is shot, love to have a better handle on my gassy bunny noises.

Any medically knowledgeable folks out there who can at least tell me what I need and don't need?

:thanks:

The one that is 16.99 also looks good (high and low frequency determination or something it says)....

not bad at all - I think anything that could help us hear them and know when we have changes to deal with- BIG PLUS!

Good idea to have one of these on hand as cheap as they are!

Anybody know the differences between the dual and single head ones and the cheap ones vs the pricey ones?

I don'tknow that they are as availableinCanada, zippo on eBay, etc, been checking for a month or more. None in drug stores, only medical supply places, so probably not as freely distributed.

There's a pediatric single I think in the US on eBay, I assume its the same thing but smaller, so that sounds good. Also an 'economy' version or brand, regular size. Both only run $12 or $15 with shipping, assuming it can clear customs, probably the ticket.

Thanks for the info!

There's a medical supply store on Broaday and Laurel. It's called MacDonald's Prescriptions. I picked up some syringes for a school project there. They supply the Vancouver General Hospital, so I would imagine they would have stethoscopes too.

I can get you the number if you wanted to call.

I believe the dual kinds allow you to listen to the animal loudly or quietly. The pricey ones give you a way better sound and can hear much more. If you are just listening for the gas or heart rate, you probably don't need a really expensive one. Those are for lungs, heart murmurs, etc.
