what are some special foods you feed your bunnies when they have been good?

bunnies are so cute! <3333!!!

Zupreem AvianBreeder Diet FruitBlendflavored nuggets, a parrot food, that works well as a treat for most ofmy buns. Crunchy, different fruit flavors and shapes, inexpensive when I buy in bulk, keeps well. Ingredients listseems fairly healthy, for a treat.

Figured if it didn't hurt parrots, (very expensive birds Iamtold), wouldn't hurt my buns in moderate amounts onoccasion.

Sucrose is sixth on the list of ingredients, butis behind the more substantial items. The list includes many"healthy" vitamins and minerals. I suspect youunderstand my reasoning behind feeding expensive birds is afairlylogical conclusion.

You can access the list of ingredients by linking tohttp://www.zupreem.com/animal/bird/learn/info_sheet.shtmlandscrolling down to the fruit blend diet.

They are nuggets shaped like the fruit they taste like and in anappropriate color. I'm sure the colors would appeal to birds, and people, who seem to like the colored bits and pieces in rabbitpellets like KayTee manufactures.

The nuggets are available in three sizes, small, medium, andlarge. I prefer the large for the buns as more userfriendly. Smaller sizes more apt to fall through the wire as"bananas"and "grapes" in the larger size already do. *chuckle*

Local feed store enables me to buy it loose by the pound, as does alocal pet store, but more expensively and in medium size only.

Been doing it several years now with no apparent ill effects.

Buck,

Thank you. I would never have thought of that as a treat. I'm sure itwould better than Apollo's yogurt drops. I'm going to have get some andsee what he thinks.

I know they aren't the best for them, but my bunsonly get them every so often, but my buns adore Brown's Hoops andHoney.

I also dry carrots myself and give them to them. But, theirnew favorites are Peter's/Marshall's Fresh Grass PelletsandCheerios!

I have to try that ZuPreem...I've seen that other people use it aswell. I must find a feed store in my area that sells food inbulk!

Bo loves cheerios and Rice chex LOL! Ionly give him one rice chex when he gets them (not very often) and helikes frosted wheat bites.... but he doesn't know, I take the frostedside off! :p

They know their "treat" words. It's sofun to see Bo in the morning and he's all stretching and showing histummy. Then if it's a banana morning I say "you wants ananano?" and he binkies in his cage :)

Apollo's all time most favorite treat in theworld if...Fortune Cookies. We have to be sooo careful when we havethem around. Apollo will literaly steal the whole thing and run to thefar back corner to eat it as fast as he can. He's such astinker lol.
