We noticed that as we got down to the end of thebag of Woody Pet, our rabbits stopped using the box as much. They begangoing in one spot of the cage.As soon as we opened a new bag, they all started using the box again, literally no peeing outside of it.

Have any of you guys ever experienced this?

Also, they are now moving the box into the middle of the cage...where theyhad been peeing. My rabbits are nuts!

Mine all use it right to the end of the bag noproblems. But moving the litter trays around, that's a different story.I always put them back in their old favourite peeing spots after I'vecleaned them out, but after that it's up to them. They move them allover the place. As far as I'm concerned though as long as they use themthey can shuffle them wherever they want as often as they want :p.

Who knows what goes on in a rabbit's mind? They just have some secret plan of their own :).

Lol... my buns do that exact same thing, also! I always put their boxback in their favorite spots too, and less then a minute later thelittle sillies are moving it around.... I guess to a spot they feel isbetter and more private!

I use Woody Pet (like everyone doesn't alreadyknow!) in our litter pans and in the drop pans under the cage. I'm justgetting to the bottom of a bag so I'll have to see how the buns reactto it over the next day or so. (i'm sooo excited...i get to do WoodyPetexperiments..muhahaha...."Egor !!!..throw the switch!!")

We put S'mores' litter pan in the corner that she used before we littertrained her. She sometimes will try to move the pan out of the way soshe can use her old corner sans pan.Or she waits until wetake the pan out to clean it and she runs really fast to her corner andpoops/pees before we can get the pan back in the cage. I'm thinking ofgetting an extra pan so I can switch them out.

Benji just loves to toss his pan around. We finally had to tie it down in the corner.

Binkie likes to binkie in her litter pan, but that little cutie can dowhatever her little fuzzie heart want to. I just clean it up.

Chippy is trying so hard to have good litter habits, but her cage istoo small to put in a pan big enough for her. I've got a larger cagethat we will be putting her in this weekend and then I'll get her abigger litter pan. Sometime her tushie hangs out over the side of thepan she has and she misses on occasion. I think it really upsets her. Ijust keep telling her that she is such a good bunnie for trying soooohard and then she gets some extra treats.

So...I'm of to the laboratory.

Pebbles will go to any litter box whereever I put it. She would run down the hallway touse it.I use a screen to cover the Woody Pet, sothe sawdust doesn't get tracked outside the box.Iprepare several boxes at time so when I switch, Pebbles doesn't have achance to check out the empty spot. When I fill the box toofull, her bum would stickover the edge and shewould pee on to the floor! Then she would try to lick itup. I guess I need higher edges.

The litter box is Pebbles place of refuge. She would stretchout in it and lay there. When shes frighten, (thevacuum cleaner) she would lie really low in the box.

One thing she does, is always leave one poo outside the box.If I pick it up and throw it away, she would leave anotherone. So I don't bother anymore. Funny bunny.

To make the litter last longer, I only scoop away the used portion inthe box and add more pellets to the mix. When I clean out thebox, I sift the contents with a deep fryer basket thus saving theunused pellets.

Rainbows!

I've read that buns have a sense of propriety and can get embarrassedif they misfire toiletwise and know that they have.Isuspect theymay feel just as embarrassed if theyare unable to clean themselves.

For whatever that is worth?

Ernestine, and Missy before her, cannotwait to christen freshly changed litter with their little tokenmounds. They both almost try to jump in the box as one isplacing and wiring it back into position.

Chippy is white except for her black ears and eyes (hotot mix?). Andshe keeps herself exceptionally clean. She always grooming/cleaning.Even her feet and tushie are sparkling white.

That's probably why she gets upset when she makes a little mess.

After we move her into the bigger cage w? a bigger litter pan I'll see if I notice any change in her demeanor.
